Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Avera. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex clinical laboratory testing, maintaining laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring the accuracy of test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex clinical laboratory testing following established procedures
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation, including supply inventory, quality control, calibration, and reagent preparation
- Communicate test results and technical information to healthcare providers and individuals in a timely manner
- Provide instructions on proper specimen collection, handling, and storage guidelines
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training preferred
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP or AMT required within 12 months of hire
