Job Overview

Harbour Dental Care is a private dental practice seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team in our St. Johns office. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including radiography, instrument preparation, and patient education.
  • Perform expanded functions, such as coronal polishing, topical fluoride application, and sealant application.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical and dental histories.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • EFDA certification and current radiography certification.
  • Current CPR certification and annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training.
  • 2+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Ability to travel to other offices as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Denticon experience.
  • Dexis digital x-ray experience.
  • Sirona 3D CT imaging experience.
  • CEREC omnicam experience.
  • Waterlase Laser experience.
