Position Overview
We are currently seeking Full-Time and PRN Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for various shifts, including overnight and weekends. Our PRN positions come with a new competitive pay rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential patient care services, including assistance with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, elimination, and safety, as directed by the Charge Nurse in accordance with established guidelines.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the medical record, adhering to established standards.
- Upon patient admission, complete necessary documentation, including personal belongings, height, weight, and vital signs, and ensure proper orientation to the facility.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs, conducting regular rounds throughout your shift.
- Assist in repositioning residents and taking vital signs, reporting findings to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper application of medical devices and specialty care items as per physician or therapy orders.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, notifying the Charge Nurse of any additional needs.
- Engage in continuous education and training to enhance skills and accept additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred, but not mandatory.
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the relevant state.
- CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to manage time effectively and organize daily tasks to meet productivity standards.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects safely, with assistance when necessary.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for working with patients and medical equipment.
