Position Overview: As a Commercial Tire Technician, you will handle all facets of tire and related services and repairs for Retail and Commercial Tires, as well as Medium Trucks.

This role requires the ability to operate a service vehicle to reach customers experiencing issues and to repair or replace their tires as necessary.

Job responsibilities may be carried out at the store, at customer sites, or during roadside assistance calls.

This position involves working in various indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to different weather conditions expected.

Consistent safety and attendance performance is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mounting and dismounting tires on retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers, including training and utilizing additional safety equipment for enhanced protection.
2. Balancing tires to ensure proper weight distribution, including understanding balance mechanisms such as balance beads and rings.
3. Identifying and repairing punctures or other damages to tires and/or tubes.
4. Patching or plugging tires as required.
5. Evaluating retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers, lifting them using appropriate equipment in line with safety protocols.
6. Rotating tires at regular intervals to promote even tread wear, including patterns for medium trucks and trailers.

7. Operating a Standard Commercial Service Truck (No Boom).

8. Performing all tasks from a mobile service truck.
9. Responding to service calls dispatched to customer locations, which may include highways, parking lots, or job sites.
10. Properly using mobile equipment that may differ from that used in-store.
11. Ensuring the mobile unit is well-maintained and stocked with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
12. Efficiently managing time to respond promptly to service calls and complete on-site services.
13. Maintaining communication with a service coordinator throughout service calls and accurately documenting service calls based on customer needs.

Requirements:

- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Retail or commercial tire or automotive service experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using computers/POS systems preferred.
- Effective communication skills with customers and team members, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and integrity.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Professional demeanor and attire in accordance with company policy.
