Key Responsibilities
  • Employs advanced customer service strategies to ensure a positive experience for patients and their families.
  • Maintains professionalism in all interactions with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient care.
  • Generates high-quality ultrasound images to facilitate patient care processes.
  • Evaluates patient information to determine the suitability of procedures in accordance with established accreditation standards and medical necessity guidelines.
  • Assesses patients for the presence, severity, and location of peripheral vascular conditions by selecting appropriate diagnostic procedures, including duplex scanning and Doppler ultrasound.
  • Documents test outcomes and communicates results to the physician upon completion of examinations. Prepares comprehensive patient records for physician review, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • May be required to rotate shifts or be available for on-call duties as directed by the organization.
  • Performs additional tasks as necessary to fulfill organizational needs.
Qualifications

Essential Education and Experience

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program, Vascular Imaging, or Cardiovascular Technology Program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sonography, including training.

Licensure and Certifications

  • ARDMS (RVT) or ARRT (VS) certification.
  • Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
