Animal Care Team Lead

We are seeking a skilled Animal Care Team Lead to join our team at Destination Pet LLC. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our furry guests.
Job Responsibilities:- Sanitize and disinfect pet enclosures and general boarding areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide exceptional care to each pet guest by ensuring they receive fresh water, clean bedding, and the correct type and quantity of food for each meal.
- Maintain accurate records of pet consumption and elimination, reporting any concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Conduct visual checks on pet guests throughout the day to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Remove waste from enclosures and other areas as needed to maintain a clean environment.
- Monitor pet belongings, cleaning them as needed and returning them to owners upon departure.
- Assist in training new hires in proper animal-handling techniques and supervise assigned shifts to ensure a smooth operation.
- A passion for animals and excellent customer service skills.
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
