We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at a correctional facility in Canton, IL. This is a 13-week registry role, and the ideal candidate will have a valid and current RN license issued by the state of IL, as well as a valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
Job Responsibilities:- Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of patient conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess patient conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Valid and current RN license issued by the state of IL.
- Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
- Proficiency in the English language for effective communication with staff and patients.
