We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Hospice of North Alabama. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide medical care and management of terminal illness in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act under the supervision of a collaborating physician
- Complete history and physical examinations to evaluate patient medical condition and health history
- Assess hospice eligibility and make recommendations to the hospice medical director
- Communicate with physicians and participate in interdisciplinary group meetings to meet medical and emotional needs of patients and families
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current DEA license, if applicable to state regulations
- Current nursing license in state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Master's degree with minimum of one year NP experience
- One year hospice or palliative care experience preferred
