Job Title: Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal to join our team at the Law Office of Polly Tatum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our attorneys and clients in the areas of estate planning, probate, and elder law.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential issues and provide recommendations to attorneys.
  • Prepare and file probate pleadings, including petitions, inventories, and accountings.
  • Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to gather information and documents necessary for estate planning and probate matters.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files for clients and cases.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and attorneys, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations affecting estate planning and probate, and provide training and guidance to attorneys and staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, and elder law.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
