Massachusetts Probation and Pretrial Services is seeking experienced U.S. Probation and U.S. Pretrial Services Officers in good standing. The selected candidates will be assigned to any of our office locations, with the possibility of multiple vacancies being filled from this announcement.

Overview of the Position

The U.S. Probation & Pretrial Services Office for the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, is responsible for overseeing the supervision of individuals on probation and pretrial release. As a U.S. Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and upholding the law.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular interviews and home visits with probationers and pretrial releasees to monitor their compliance with court orders.
  2. Develop and implement individualized supervision plans to address the unique needs and risks of each case.
  3. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, social service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective case management.
  4. Prepare and present reports to the court on the status of probationers and pretrial releasees.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be an experienced U.S. Probation and U.S. Pretrial Services Officer in good standing. You should have a strong understanding of the probation and pretrial services system, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
