Water and Wastewater Engineering Specialist

Position Summary: This role entails the application of engineering principles and practices to effectively interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate project assignments with minimal oversight. The individual will serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers. U.S. residency is a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee detailed phases of engineering work within a segment of a major project or across a moderately scoped project.
- Prepare construction cost estimates.
- Assist in drafting engineering documents for bidding and construction phases.
- Manage relationships with project sub-consultants and internal support teams.
- Develop requests for additional work and proposals for open-end contracts.
- Prepare necessary proposals.
- Engage in client meetings.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to quality standards.
- Demonstrate project management capabilities, including experience in design and construction projects, schedule development, contractor payment review, client and stakeholder meeting facilitation, and effective coordination with project team members.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
- EIT Certification.
- 5-10 years of experience in a specialized engineering field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with local government clients at the county and state levels.
The majority of work will be conducted in a standard office setting, with expectations of 50% to 95% sedentary activity. While primarily office-based, occasional fieldwork may be required, which could involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be necessary as required.
