The Fitness Trainer is a key member of the Planet Fitness team, responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience in the club. This role is crucial in the successful execution of the Planet Fitness program.
Key Responsibilities:- Member Training:
- Design personalized exercise programs for each member based on their fitness level, medical history, and personal goals.
- Lead small group training sessions and provide guidance on proper exercise form and technique.
- Monitor member progress and adjust training programs as needed.
- Log training session attendance data and track success metrics.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
- Respond to member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with new membership sales, guest accounts, and beverage/merchandise purchases.
- Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep, including mopping, re-racking weights, and trash removal.
- Inspect equipment for malfunctions or damage and report findings to the supervisor.
- Stock supplies as needed and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- NCCA-accredited trainer certification (e.g., AEC or NCSF)
- CRP/AED certification
- Passion for health and fitness
- Ability to handle emergency situations as per training
- Physical demands include visible and continuous activity during shift, continual talking, and frequent lifting, climbing, and cleaning
