Key Responsibilities- Construction Oversight: Plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at specific work sites, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Fiber Optic Installation: Install and splice fiber optic cable, including loose tube, mid-sheath, and splitting ribbon buffer tube.
- Equipment Operation: Operate Optical Time Domain Reflector meters to test fiber and use visual fault light and power meter loss and readings.
- Building Entrance Construction: Complete building entrances for services, including aerial telecommunications construction and constructing aerial network fiber (FTTX).
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Read and understand maps for FTTX, HFC, and phone, as well as fiber splice documentation, termination assignments, and other relevant records.
- Construction Work: Perform construction work such as digging holes, climbing telephone poles, placing and removing anchors, pulling and stringing wire/cable from pole to pole, laying cable and conduit in the ground.
- Sales Support: Facilitate sales opportunities by providing the economic structure needed to meet the company's build rates and/or key performance indicators.
- Quality Control: Monitor area locator and ensure that all work meets operational standards.
- Reporting and Compliance: Complete weekly production reports and ensure compliance with all governmental orders.
- Experience: 1+ year(s) experience in one or combination of equipment installation, cable splicing, line work, installation, and repair.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- License: Valid Iowa Driver License and a driving record that allows employee to be insured by ImOn's insurance carrier.
