Bookstore Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Bookseller to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming environment, and sharing your passion for books with customers.

• Engage with customers, share your knowledge of books, and make personalized recommendations.
• Ensure a vibrant bookstore through effective execution of bookstore basics, including presentation, commerciality, and section detail.
• Leverage key campaigns to hand-sell and engage with customers, driving sales and customer satisfaction.
• Educate yourself continuously on books and the industry, supporting the store with your knowledge to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Identify key titles and communicate with your store team to tailor the merchandise selection to reflect the community's interests.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, creating displays and ensuring the bookstore is always shoppable and inviting.
• Assist with events and community outreach, promoting the store and its offerings.
• Protect company assets by adhering to all processes and procedures.
• Model expected behaviors, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
