Job Summary

As a key member of our team at Sherwin-Williams, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our facility, ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the warehousing, shipping, receiving, and rework activities, as well as implementing and maintaining continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of safety, people, service, quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine and establish procedures, programs, and reports to maintain and improve facility efforts in the Five Focus Areas: Safety, People, Service, Quality, and Cost.
  • Determine, oversee, and positively effect facility budget.
  • Direct and oversee those activities that ensure the facility is capable of meeting all pertinent requirements (regulatory, corporate, group, supply chain, etc.).
  • Analyze workforce requirements.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or three (3) years equivalent business experience.
  • Must have three (3) years of managerial experience in an operations, warehouse, and or transportation business environment.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams.
  • Must have proven experience of developing and sustaining a high-performance work team.
  • Must have prior experience working with regional and divisional leadership and support teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Have knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Have at least a Master's degree in business or related field.
  • Have Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.).
