Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff at the Hillberg Ski Area. The Recreation Assistant will work closely with the ski patrol team to identify and mitigate potential hazards, provide first aid and emergency response, and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all users of the ski area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and report potential hazards on the ski slopes and surrounding areas
  • Provide first aid and emergency response to injured guests and staff
  • Work closely with the ski patrol team to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
  • Communicate effectively with guests and staff to ensure a positive experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Must be a skilled skier with a strong understanding of ski safety and protocols
  • Must hold a CPR/AED certification or obtain one within 90 days of hire
  • Must have a medical certification or a minimum qualification of Basic First Aid
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to cold temperatures, snow, and other winter weather conditions. The Recreation Assistant must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with guests and staff.
