Position Overview


Under the guidance of the Fiscal Services Coordinator, the Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in executing professional accounting functions associated with the preparation, upkeep, and evaluation of financial documentation.

This position entails conducting reconciliations for balance sheets, revenue, expenses, and payroll accounts, alongside managing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations.

The Senior Accountant will oversee, mentor, and assess designated staff within the Fiscal Services department while offering technical support to Charter personnel concerning accounting and budgeting matters.


Qualifications and Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, ideally with a focus in accounting, business, or a related discipline, or a combination of experience and training that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.


Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.

Direct experience in two or more of the following areas is essential:
- Financial or budget analysis
- Accounting operations
- Systems development and analysis
- Program accounting
- Payroll processing

Additional Information

This position operates on a 4/10 work schedule, with Fridays off.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
