Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, record, and document daily investment transactions accurately across various accounting platforms.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of accounting systems to guarantee accuracy and completeness in transaction processing and financial controls.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies through detailed analysis and research.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations and supporting documentation to ensure financial integrity, with regular intervals for reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate with team members to process monthly and fiscal year-end entries and reconciliations.
  • Generate reports and present findings to the Board as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Provide training and backup support to fellow accounting staff to ensure efficient processing and reporting.
  • Research investment accounting concepts and recommend procedural improvements.
  • Participate in special studies aimed at enhancing internal controls and accounting accuracy.
  • Engage in additional technical accounting duties as required, including attending relevant meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Deductive reasoning skills to apply general rules to specific situations.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and GASB standards.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, particularly in designing and troubleshooting pivot tables.
  • Consideration for training assignments may be available.
