As a key member of our Nutrition and Dietetics department, you will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the team, directly supervising Registered Dietitians, and ensuring compliance with quality metrics and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of Registered Dietitians, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, aligning with Northwell Health's strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior professionals to develop methods, techniques, and analytical approaches to improve team effectiveness.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide input on direct reports for human resource decisions.
- Review electronic medical records to ensure RD conformance to standards of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and established policies & procedures.
- Provide ongoing support for the nutrition analysis of patient and retail menus.
- Work collaboratively with the Food and Nutrition department on daily activities.
- Cross-cover Manager as needed and provide staff relief for direct patient care responsibilities.
- Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current Registered Dietitian Certification with the Commissions on Dietetic Registration.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience.
