Job Summary:

The MemorialCare Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a specialist in nutrition, you will utilize Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and evidence-based information to promote realistic lifestyle changes that can help patients manage their diabetes, weight, and other chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nutrition guidance and support to promote healthy eating habits and improve overall health.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments, provide nutritional counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and family members, and develop treatment plans.
  • Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team to safely and effectively provide care to patients.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients and healthcare providers and team members.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two (2) years working as an outpatient dietitian or in nutrition counseling is preferred.
  • Certified Diabetic Educator or Certification in Obesity and Weight Management preferred.
  • Experience in the community and/or Primary Care setting preferred.
  • Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition from an accredited college or university required.
  • Meet the requirements for a Registered Dietitian as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Current, active Registered Dietitian certification (also known as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) confirmed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
