Job Summary:
The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with students with special needs and possess strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, teachers, and therapists, to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Active/Valid state teaching certification/license in Special Education in OR
- Prior experience working with students with special needs (preferred)
Benefits:
This is a contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $35-42 per hour. The caseload is comprised of early childhood students (ages birth-5 years). We offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth and development.
