Phlebotomy Specialist

As a Phlebotomist with UNC REX, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical activities of our healthcare system. This per diem position requires you to work every other Saturday and Sunday, from 3AM to 7AM.
Responsibilities- Consult with healthcare providers and patients regarding phlebotomy service issues.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of your work.
- Investigate problems with equipment, patient results, specimens, and workflow.
- Participate in teams or perform special projects/assignments.
- Teach and train new employees, phlebotomy students, and other healthcare providers.
- Review test results to ensure accuracy and timely correction of errors.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures, quality control, and equipment maintenance in the laboratory.
- Monitor daily operations and ensure completion of daily work and assigned tasks.
- High School diploma or GED.
- No licensure or certification required.
- One year of phlebotomy experience required, or graduation from a phlebotomy program with no previous experience.
