Phlebotomy Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Rex Lab Customer Services. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures and patient point-of-care testing in support of the clinical activities in the Healthcare System.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
2. Investigate problems with equipment, patient results, specimens, and/or workflow.
3. Participate in teams or perform special projects/assignments.
4. Teach and train new employees, phlebotomy students, and/or other healthcare providers.
5. Review test results to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely correction of errors or report results to healthcare providers.
6. Perform phlebotomy procedures, quality control, and equipment maintenance in the appropriate laboratory.
7. Ensure completion of daily work and assigned tasks. Monitor daily operation of laboratory work area.

● None required as long as other position qualifications are met.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● One (1) year of phlebotomy experience required, or
● If graduation from a phlebotomy program, no previous experience is required.
