Job Opportunity: Assistant or Associate Professor in Neurology

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Neurology at the University of Alabama. This is a non-tenure earning clinical track position that requires a strong background in neurology and a commitment to teaching, patient care, and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach family medicine residents and medical students in clinical training
  • Engage in scholarly activity, including research and publication
  • Provide direct patient care in general adult psychiatry, with possible focus on forensic, geriatric, and inpatient care
  • Participate in administrative tasks typical for a faculty appointment
Requirements:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree and Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology
  • Meet requirements for an academic appointment at the University of Alabama
  • Be eligible for licensure in the state of Alabama
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in ambulatory and inpatient neurological treatment
  • Track record of scholarship in a health professions or medical school environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
