Job Title: OSP Inspector

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled OSP Inspector to join our team at Lightspeed Construction Group. As an OSP Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our OSP construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of OSP construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Verify that sub-contractors are adhering to quality standards and practices.
  • Coordinate and document directional drill bore profiles with sub-contractors.
  • Create redline construction drawings and record as-built units and routing.
  • Maintain project inspection forms and provide results to the project manager on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in acceptance testing as directed by the project manager.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with current state and federal safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Effectively operate iPad and laptop to fulfill the requirements of the position.
  • Ability to access and utilize web-based applications for time reporting, expense reimbursement, and other needs for the role.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with GIS, Google Earth, and GPS mobile devices.
  • OSP experience to identify existing underground utilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience inspecting OSP (outside plant construction) preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of related OSP inspection experience and/or training preferred; must have previous telecommunications experience.
  • Good decision making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to meet critical due dates and complete tasks on own with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills, including a proven ability to listen, understand, and articulate successfully.
