About Central Food Services

Our food services division operates a high-quality institutional kitchen that provides fully cooked meals to residential programs, affordable meal options to nonprofit organizations, prepared food for restaurants in the Puget Sound region, and work experience for our trainees. We are licensed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture as a food processor, allowing us to process, package, and sell food in retail locations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Food Service Specialist to join our team in Everett. The primary responsibilities of this role include washing dishes, cleaning floors and walls, and maintaining general cleaning and sanitizing standards for CFS kitchens. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining all food safety guidelines and procedures, assisting cooks and cook trainers, and performing other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. Wash dishes, clean and sanitize the kitchen area, including walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and restrooms.
  2. Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
  3. Multi-task and work on multiple items at a time.
  4. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  5. Assemble, package, and label products for delivery.
  6. Assemble sack lunches and date each bag.
  7. Wrap cold food with plastic wrap and label appropriately.
  8. Build and wrap sandwiches for lunch sacks.
  9. Assist in putting product deliveries away while rotating product and keeping dry storage areas and cold area storage areas clean and organized.
  10. Wipe down stainless steel work areas with sanitizing solution.
  11. Load and unload delivery vans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid WA state Food Handlers card.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
