Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our family medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the needs of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Provide direct clinical care to patients, including prescribing medications and ordering laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Evaluate patients to determine their need for further health care and provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families.
  • Document all care and education provided in the medical record and refer patients to other disciplines as appropriate.
  • Consult with other disciplines in areas of expertise and integrate research-based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision making.
  • Exemplify a professional image in appearance, manner, and presentation and advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community.
  • Maintain certifications and continuing education as required for licensure and privileging and participate in quality improvement and/or research initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Illinois.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or related specialty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
