Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician Trainer to join our team at Compunnel Inc. This is a unique opportunity to advance your career by teaching and mentoring other technicians in the latest automotive technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and a passion for sharing knowledge with others. As an Automotive Technician Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to entry-level and advanced technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for automotive technicians
  • Mentor and coach technicians to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques
  • Collaborate with other trainers and subject matter experts to develop and deliver training content
  • Assess and evaluate technician performance and provide feedback for improvement

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years' experience as an automotive technician
  • Current ASE Certified Master Technician certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with diagnostic equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GM Master Technician Certification
  • Previous experience as an automotive instructor or trainer
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic techniques

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a classroom and shop/lab setting
  • May involve exposure to various automotive fumes, fluids, noise, smells, sharp edges, and hazards
  • Requires continuous use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and head protection

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects
  • May involve moving materials weighing up to 35 pounds on a regular basis
  • Less frequent requirements for moving materials weighing over 35 pounds with the assistance of lifting and moving equipment
