Job Title: BMW Mobile Service Technician

Job Summary

The BMW Mobile Service Technician is responsible for performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards. This individual utilizes their skills to diagnose and resolve the different sources of automotive problems swiftly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Arrowhead BMW and manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose cause of malfunction and complete all work according to applicable safety requirements.
  • Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work and accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
  • Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
  • Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools and returning special tools to proper place.
  • Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner and maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
  • Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
  • Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management and review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned.
  • Deliver MPI and demonstrate failures directly to customer and collect customer signature on repair orders.
  • Handle payment from customer and travel to off-site locations in company-assigned vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Time Management - ability to manage one's own time
  • Automotive Technical Knowledge - Three to five years experience
  • ASE and manufacturer certification preferred

  • Working Conditions: Loud noise and exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Some conditions vary depending on the physical structure and layout of the location.
Requirements
  • 2 years of technician experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 18 years or older
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in state of residence
  • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
  • Clear pre-employment drug screen
