Building Services Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Building Services Technician to join our team at Envista. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair services in various areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily work orders as assigned by the manager or coordinator, including repair and maintenance assignments.
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on production and tooling machines, including support equipment, to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct technical inspections of machines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are recorded, organized, and complete, with records readily available for reference or audit purposes.
  • Organize and clean the building services area, and perform safety audits to identify and address safety concerns in the facility and manufacturing areas.
  • Assist with regular non-critical maintenance to machines, handle and store hazardous waste, and communicate with vendors when they are onsite performing work.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; minimum of 4 years' experience in the field or in a related area, with a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experienced or certified in areas of electrical, plumbing, painting, plastering, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as operating procedures and general instructions, machine manuals, employee handbook, company policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Valid driver's license with a good record, forklift certification a plus, and EHS knowledge or background a plus.

Compensation:

The target market salary range for this position is $34.70 per hour, with actual compensation packages taking into account a wide range of factors, including geographic location, skill sets, relevant education and certifications, depth of experience, performance, and other business and organizational needs.
