Job Summary and Qualifications
The Surgical Services Technician II is a skilled and experienced individual who operates under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, responsible for selected tasks in the administration of patient care within the surgical and/or operating room environment.
The Surgical Services Technician II reports to the Registered Nurse for each case and the Clinical Manager, as well as the Director of Surgical Services.

Assisting with surgical procedures in scrub duties
Supporting the orientation, training, and education of new personnel
Maintaining a safe and sterile environment for all patients
Performing all related duties as assigned and directed
Facilitating the provision of individualized patient care
Qualifications:
High School diploma required or equivalent; college education preferred
Completion of Surgical Technician course from an accredited institution
Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
Mentoring new employees and students
Three years of training or experience in various specialties in an acute care facility
Able to perform 80% of procedures
Engaging in administrative approved projects, including at least one employee-identified project
Actively participating in preference card updates
Current BLS certification
