About the Job:

The Maintenance Technician role at the Low Income Housing Institute is a key position within our organization. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all properties are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for our residents.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades
  • Respond to emergency situations, providing timely and effective support to residents and staff
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates and services

Essential Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in building maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs/Sheets, and company email at an intermediate level
