As a motivated and diligent DRIVER (Logistics Support Specialist), your responsibilities will include:

  1. Adhering to daily routing instructions and avoiding deviations from the route unless directed by the Transportation Supervisor or their designee.
  2. Effectively managing your time to ensure the completion of the route within the designated work schedule, with a goal of 100% daily completion.
  3. Safely loading and unloading the assigned vehicle, and assisting with the loading or unloading of other vehicles as needed.
  4. Training and supervising truck helpers in their Work Therapy Assignments (WTA), demonstrating good personal and professional work habits.
  5. Executing Bag & Tag procedures as instructed by the Supervisor.
  6. Representing The Salvation Army by providing courteous service to all customers and promptly reporting any donor issues to the supervisor.
  7. Complying with all DOT regulations and local laws while maintaining a clean driving record and attending required safety meetings.
  8. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor, Director of Production, or their designated representatives.

Qualifications for consideration:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B or C)
  • Clean driving history
  • Strong time management and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in operating electronic devices for daily route management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Capability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, carts, and other equipment.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Capacity to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Schedule

Night Shift Schedule.
