Responsibilities:
Energy Operations Manager

Purpose Statement:
Accountable for overseeing production, safety, quality assurance, maintenance coordination, and process enhancements. Reports to: Energy and Recovery Superintendent.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure safety protocols and performance standards are upheld within the department.
  • Guarantee environmental compliance in designated areas.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of processes to effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks, both routine and for planned outages.
  • Monitor and manage costs by comparing actual expenses against budgeted figures, providing insights for future planning.
  • Facilitate the establishment of objectives and strategies, along with daily operational planning, budgeting, and workforce management.

Qualifications:
Experience:
5-7 years of supervisory experience is required.

Education:
A B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities is preferred.

Specific knowledge and experience related to Recovery Boiler operations are advantageous.
