Job Title: Director of Compliance

About the Role:

The Director of Compliance will play a critical role in supporting the Vice President – North American Legal and Compliance in the development, maintenance, and operation of the company's North American Corporate Compliance Program. This position will be responsible for establishing, promoting, and managing company-wide ethics and compliance program initiatives, setting the tone and culture of compliance for the North American business, and partnering with senior business leaders and global compliance colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Training: Develop and provide training programs, SOPs, and business guidance for employees, establish compliance procedures, and enhance the culture of compliance within the North American business through training and broad communications and leadership.
  • Compliance Investigations: Manage compliance and relevant investigations, documentation, and corrective action related to potential violations of the company's policies, standards, or procedures or other compliance issues in all areas.
  • Reporting: Develop and provide compliance auditing and monitoring plans and activities to provide oversight, serve as a compliance resource for departments for process improvements identified in auditing and monitoring activities, manage the company's North American federal and state aggregate spend reporting program activities, and ensure compliance with other applicable federal and state reporting requirements related to compliance, pricing, and marketing activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience serving in a compliance role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various laws, regulations, and industry guidance, including OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Providers, Anti-Kickback Statute, FCPA, FDA rules and regulations, and other industry guidance.
  • Undergraduate degree required; or master's level degree preferred or equivalent of education and experience in a compliance capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JD is a plus.
  • Skilled at training and public speaking.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Efficient at handling and prioritizing multiple projects in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to operate independently and build strong networks throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with internal and external partners, including Executive Leadership teams.
  • Ethical, with a strong understanding of compliance risks and a good sense for practical solutions.
  • Proactive, flexible, responsive, and resourceful.
  • Ability to listen carefully and effectively communicate complex topics with different types of potential clients.
  • Experience with AI.
  • Ability to grasp best practices and use them to provide client solutions.
  • Ability to review and synthesize data into meaningful reports.
  • Ability to travel from time to time as needed.
