This internship opportunity is specifically designed for the Spring 2025 term.

About Haren Construction Company:
Haren Construction Company is a reputable family-owned firm that has been in operation since 1939, specializing in engineered water improvement projects. Our focus encompasses the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, raw water reservoirs, and pipeline projects across the Southeastern United States.

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating project execution to ensure compliance with all outlined specifications.
  • Assisting in the upkeep of project timelines and financial forecasts.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to provide updates on project status, including budget oversight, schedule management, and contract communications.
  • Ensuring effective communication among technical teams, construction personnel, and project control departments.
  • Supporting the preparation of engineering drawings and layouts.
  • Working alongside the Project Manager, Superintendents, and Senior Management in project administration tasks.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant field such as Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
