Summary Under general supervision, performs a variety of custodial and repair tasks in the upkeep of buildings and facilities: performs other related work as required.
This role differs from that of Laborer in that incumbents undertake more complex and diverse maintenance tasks in addition to general labor duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Conducts basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks to maintain and repair the facility, such as replacing or adjusting plumbing fixtures, adjusting doors, repairing fixtures and furniture, replacing electrical fixtures, repairing electrical outlets, patching and painting interior and exterior walls, adjusting heating and ventilation systems, etc.
Performs routine manual tasks as requested, such as replacing air conditioning filters, assembling furniture and equipment, hanging pictures or shelves, changing light bulbs, etc.
Executes general custodial tasks not performed by Housekeeping, such as any cleaning inside the facility over 6' in height, pressure cleaning of kitchen equipment, and exterior cleaning of grounds.
Records and reports any suspicious activity as defined by the relevant compliance policies.

Education and/or Experience High school graduate or equivalent and at least one year of general building repair and maintenance, or the equivalent of education and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively with other employees.Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certification – Carpenter/Woodworking certificate desirable. Class B Gaming License.
