Medical Specimen Collector

Key Responsibilities:
As a Phlebotomist at Sonic Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer-focused service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collecting and processing blood and non-blood specimens from patients of all ages.
- Ensuring proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
- Championing safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory setting.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, having the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate:
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
