Diagnostic Radiologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Job Summary

The selected candidate will provide a spectrum of image interpretation, image-guided procedures, and patient care services within the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology. The ideal candidate will possess additional subspecialty expertise and contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement, peer review, and education of staff and trainees.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret general radiology examinations, body CT, ultrasound, and perform fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Prescribe exam protocols and modify as needed for specific clinical indications.
  • Provide oversight of technical image quality with feedback to technologists.
  • Participate in Quality Management activities such as film quality reviews, clerical checks, peer review, and others as required.
  • Consult with providers on various aspects of imaging such as exam selection, review of results, and other support functions.
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Focus on Chest/Abdominal Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality patient care.
Benefits
  • Salary $300,000 - $400,000.
  • Student loan repayment up to $200,000 on eligible loans.
  • Regular salary increases and annual performance bonuses.
  • 50-55 days of paid time off (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 Federal holidays, up to 5 days for CME).
