Job Description

At Ford Motor Company, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Safety Electronics team as an Active Drive Assist Feature Simulation Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development of sensors, ECUs, models, and software for our advanced driver-assistance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead simulation activities to support the development of hands-free driving features, including the creation of simulation infrastructure that integrates with Ford-developed Simulink models and in-house software modules.
  • Interface with feature owners to understand their use cases and identify key gaps in simulation tooling and platform capabilities.
  • Work directly with feature development engineers to collect real-world data and generate simulation models that correlate with real-world sensor performance.
  • Ensure simulation outputs are consistent with on-vehicle data formats to facilitate seamless analysis by the existing analysis team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of software development or algorithm design or simulation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Systems, Lane Keeping or Lane Centering Systems.
  • Understanding of embedded hardware and software design, Kalman filtering, vehicle dynamics, linear & nonlinear control methods, and software engineering & algorithm development experience.
