We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sanitation Group Leader to join our team at Michael Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our production facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the cleaning and sanitation of production lines, equipment, and storage areas to ensure timely completion and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Supervise and train sanitation team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, including chemical usage and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to minimize waste and optimize cleaning efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary resources and training to perform their duties effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a sanitation or production role, with a focus on leadership and team management.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including chemical usage and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods.
This role will be based in a production facility environment, with regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
