Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and coordinate with the manager to ensure efficient patient flow and outcomes.
- Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
- Collaborate with the manager to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as all required regulations and policies.
- Round on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into patient care, employee, and physician satisfaction.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters.
- Assist in identifying expected outcomes to provide direction for continuity of care and department operations.
- Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administer medications as necessary.
- Coordinate management of patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume and acuity needs.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- BSN required.
- Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within one year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
