Job Overview

Mountain West Corral, Inc. dba Golden Corral is in search of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of Grill Cook. This position is vital for ensuring the quality, freshness, and overall appeal of our Hot Choice Buffet offerings.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation:
  • Prepare Hot Choice Buffet items, including Carving and Display Cooking selections, in accordance with established recipes and procedures.
  • Grill all menu items to meet Golden Corral's high standards of quality.
  • Guarantee that all fried items are served fresh and at the appropriate temperature.
  • In the absence of the Buffet Attendant, restock items at the Display Cooking Station.
  • Assist guests with carved meat options when the Carver is unavailable.
  • Adhere to the buffet production system to ensure compliance with quality and shelf life standards.
Operational Standards:
  • Maintain the correct cooking, holding, and serving temperatures for all food products.
  • Utilize the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide to manage inventory effectively.
  • Conduct opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment following the Equipment Maintenance manual.
  • Implement the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method for food product rotation.
  • Take inventory and verify stock levels with management at the start and end of each shift.
Sanitation Practices:
  • Ensure cleanliness of the Hot Cook area and all utensils, checking for cleanliness before use.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks to meet service and quality standards.
  • Comply with local health department regulations.
  • Keep the Char Grill clean and properly maintained to uphold product quality and sanitation.
Customer Engagement:
  • Ensure that Hot Choice Buffet items, including Display Cooking products, are consistently hot and fresh for guests.
  • Understand and follow responsibilities related to timely food delivery.
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to guests, assisting them with their selections.
  • Maintain professional communication with guests at all times.
