Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in providing exceptional speech and language services to students of all ages in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting assessments under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Support the development of individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, client goals, and SLP guidance.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions as directed by licensed SLPs, including speech and language therapy, voice therapy, fluency therapy, and swallowing therapy.
  • Utilize various tools and techniques to enhance communication skills, improve speech articulation, and develop language comprehension and expression.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on communication disorders.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress, documenting treatment outcomes, and reporting findings to licensed SLPs.
  • Stay updated with advancements in speech-language pathology through professional development activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Valid and active state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Previous experience working as an SLPA or in a related role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in speech-language pathology.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of licensed SLPs and collaborate within a team.
