Job Summary

The Nurse Coordinator position at UNC Health Southeastern is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and lead the nursing team in our Patient Care Unit.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and organized RN with strong communication skills to coordinate, delegate, and provide professional care to patients assigned to our unit. As a Nurse Coordinator, you will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient patient care, adhering to prescribed medical regimens and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients based on the nursing process, considering their physical and developmental age, in accordance with North Carolina State Board of Nursing regulations and organizational guidelines.
  • Provide direction and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Nurse Assistants (NAs), and unit clerical staff to maintain a seamless patient care experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills relevant to the age groups served, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Assist in temporary psychiatric holding areas as needed, working collaboratively with management to ensure patient needs are met.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with a valid North Carolina RN license.
  • BLS certification required, with bi-annual renewal.
  • Proficiency in keyboard operations and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN degree and Specialty Certification.

UNC Health Southeastern offers a competitive salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.
