Key Responsibilities
  • Assist coaching staff in various aspects to support the growth and operations of a sports program.
  • Provide administrative support to the coaching staff, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and communication with athletes and parents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Manage and analyze data to inform decision-making and improve program outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with three to three years' experience in an athletics environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Big 10 regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills both oral and written.
  • Some proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to collect, compile, and analyze data for reports on recruits and recruiting stats.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a collegiate athletics environment.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting software.
