Job Summary

The Kelly Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager and Estimator to join its team in Decatur, Illinois. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for estimating civil, structural, and mechanical projects, with a focus on concrete foundations, structural steel, and heavy equipment setting.

About the Role

This position requires strong project management and estimation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our superintendents and workforce to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate project costs and develop detailed estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical projects
  • Supervise and direct superintendents and workforce to ensure successful project completion
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers to ensure long-term business growth
  • Conduct site visits and pre-bid meetings to understand project requirements and scope
  • Review and negotiate contracts and subcontracts to ensure favorable terms
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks early on
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction project management and estimation
  • Hands-on knowledge of estimating software, scheduling software, and cost distribution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to company insurer
