MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Acute Care registered nurse for a travel nursing assignment in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care for 5-6 patients in the LTAC unit.
  • Monitor and administer medications, including oral, subcutaneous, and IV administration.
  • Educate patients and family members on surgical processes and how to manage their illness or injury.
  • Interpret and understand telemetry readings, notifying the medical team of any irregularities.
  • Perform duties required of a registered nurse, including starting IVs, drawing blood, and caring for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.

Requirements

  • Active RN License
  • Degree from accredited nursing program
  • BLS & ACLS Certifications
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in an Long Term Acute Care setting
  • Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes and able to read Tele-strips
