Travel Nurse RN Long Term Acute Care

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel assignment in a top healthcare facility.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for patients who require extended medical care.
Responsibilities:- Provide individualized care to 5-6 patients, adjusting and performing in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV).
- Educate patients and family members on surgical processes and how to manage their illness/injury.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays.
- Interpret and understand telemetry readings, notifying the medical team of any irregularities.
- Perform the duties required of a registered nurse at all times.
- Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.
- Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
- Start IV's, draw blood, and see patients from start to finish.
- Active RN License.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS & ACLS Certifications.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
- Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes, and ability to read Tele-strips.
- Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.
