As a Practical Nurse, you play a crucial role within our healthcare team, delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to residents as directed by their physician. Your commitment ensures that care is administered in accordance with established facility standards and complies with Federal and State regulations.
In this position, you will be responsible for conducting resident assessments and contributing to the formulation and execution of individualized care plans.
Position Overview:
- Oversee and manage personnel within your designated unit.
- Accountable for the comprehensive care of all residents in your unit and for supervising direct care staff to ensure all resident needs are addressed.
- Evaluate daily assignments of nursing personnel to ensure that tasks align with their skills and training.
- Facilitate coordination of nursing services with other departments, including dietary, social services, activities, and physical therapy.
- Initiate and regularly update the nursing care plans for residents in your unit.
- Must have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and possess a current, valid nursing license in good standing.
- Health certification/examination as mandated by state regulations is required.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in Long Term Care or a related field.
- Must demonstrate good emotional health and be capable of performing extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to uphold a professional demeanor, emphasizing confidentiality, respect for all individuals, teamwork, and effective time management.
